Charles Benton Parking Garage Construction

At the northwest corner of Benton and Charles streets, the City of Kitchener will build a new six-storey, 500 space, above-ground parking garage.

The garage will help meet a growing demand for parking in the downtown including some of the parking needs of the new downtown courthouse. The garage will also include new retail space on the main floor of the garage facing Benton Street. The province will help fund the construction of the parking garage by providing the city with $6.475 million for cash in lieu for parking.
