It’s almost Fall, so it’s time for more DTK X Stroll Walking Tours!

It’s Alexandra from the DTK BIA, and I’m so excited to share our next series of walking tours. You all loved our food sampling tours in the Spring, so we’re hosting four new editions - all with their own super special foodie focus! During each walk, we won’t just talk about food, but we will enjoy samplings lovingly prepared by the culinary creatives at each participating restaurant. By the end of the walk your tastebuds will be excited to return to your new favourite DTK spot.

Follow the Flavour in DTK - Pizza Edition

Tuesday, October 8th @ 4:30 pm - 6:00 pm

Mmmmm… pizza… Hot delicious pizza, fresh from the oven. Nothing more needs to be said, really. There’s a pizza style for every hunger craving you might have – thick and hearty, thin crust gourmet, back to basics originals – you name it, your pizza flavour awaits at any number of Downtown Kitchener pizza joints. Whether it’s lunchtime, breaktime, afterwork time, dinner time or late-night time, pizza is a solid go-to choice. On this 90-minute tour we’ll taste 4 different styles of pizza, including the oldest pizza place in town, still at its original location! You’ll meet the chefs and owners who have a few opinions about pizza too! Expect this to be a tasty tour, with a side of pizza debate!

Get ready because we’re about to overload your senses with incredible sweet flavours and presentation! When you need something sweet and delectable, you want it NOW! This 90-minute walking tour introduces you to bakeries, dessert and cake shops where you can satisfy your cravings immediately or order ahead for something special. Meet local chefs, bakers and food entrepreneurs who are serving up diverse and creative treats that will be calling your name again tomorrow because you can’t stop thinking about how good it was!

Follow the Flavour in DTK - Vegan & Vegetarian Edition

Saturday, November 9 @ 1:30 pm - 3:00pm

Let’s explore the world of plant-based foods and flavours. Gone are the days of tasteless or bland vegetarian foods. The world of options for people who don’t or can’t eat meat is rapidly growing, and not just in the lentil department. Whether you’re a whole-foods, healthy vegetarian or junk food vegan, there’s something for everyone on this sampling tour that will introduce you to a fully vegan/vegetarian restaurant, a vegan grocery market and flavours from around the world where vegetarianism is no big deal!
