We’re excited to introduce Pipelines, a vibrant, video game-inspired mural located in Bells Lane, created by talented local artist James Nye. This colourful and playful mural brings a dynamic new energy to Downtown Kitchener, paying homage to retro gaming with a creative twist.
We invite you to join the fun to celebrate this stunning new addition to our downtown landscape! Snap a photo with the Pipelines mural—whether it’s a selfie, a group shot, or even your pet posing in front of the artwork—any photo that captures your experience works!

- Email your photo to dtkitchener@gmail.com.
By submitting, you’re entering for a chance to win one of three $500 prize packs, with a total of $1,500 in prizes available. Plus, if you’re dressing up for Halloween or Comicon, wearing a costume in your photo gives you an extra entry!
Eligibility
The contest is open to legal residents of Ontario who are 18 years of age or older (age of majority). Employees, representatives, and agents of the contest organizer, as well as their immediate family members, are not eligible to enter.
Contest Period
The contest runs from Friday, October 19, 2024 - Friday, November 8, 2024. Participants may enter by taking a photo in front of the Pipelines mural located in Bells Lane and either:
- Tag @DTKitchener on Instagram, X or Facebook
OR - Email the photo to dtkitchener@gmail.com
Each participant is limited to one (1) entry during the contest period. Any attempt to enter more than once will result in disqualification.
Prizes
- One (1) winner will be randomly selected each week to receive $500 in prizes.
- A total of three (3) prizes, valued at $1,500 total, will be awarded throughout the contest period.
- Prizes must be accepted as awarded and cannot be exchanged for cash.
Winner Selection
- Each week, one (1) winner will be chosen randomly from all eligible entries.
- Winners will be notified via Instagram direct message or email within two (2) business days of the draw.
- To claim their prize, the selected winner must respond within five (5) business days and correctly answer a mathematical skill-testing question, as required by Canadian law.
Additional Terms
- Skill-Testing Question: In accordance with Canadian law, each winner must correctly answer a skill-testing question without assistance in order to claim their prize.
- Privacy: All personal information collected will be used solely for the purpose of administering the contest and in accordance with applicable privacy laws.
- Liability: The contest organizers are not responsible for any technical failures or other issues that may prevent participation.
- Publicity: By entering, participants agree to allow the organizer to use their name, photo, and likeness for promotional purposes without further compensation.
