King Street Unplugged: A Week-Long Pedestrian Block
For one exciting week, King Street in front of City Hall is transforming into a pedestrian block packed with free entertainment, hands-on activities, games, music, dancing, workshops and plenty of opportunities to connect with friends, family and neighbours.
Less scrolling, more strolling
Every day, the block will become a place to slow down and enjoy summer.
Grab a seat at a picnic table, challenge someone to a game, cool off in the splash pad, browse local businesses, or soak up the summer vibes.
Daily highlights include:
- Picnic tables and hangout spaces
- Drop-in games throughout the day
- Get delicious food from local businesses and take a seat
- Splash pad fun (don't forget your towel!)
Analog Summer Mode
Activities Include:
- Kids' Zone (Daily from 11 a.m. - 3 p.m.)
- Games and competitions
- DJ Picnic with DJ Raeven and the KW Breakers (Free Breakdance workshop!)
- Art activities (for kids and kids at heart)
- Live music and performances
- Latin dance lessons with TenC
- Line dancing and country swing with Remix Swing
- Kitchener Market Artisan Vendor Showcase

- Family-friendly entertainment

- Bingo hosted by RJ Johnston
- Lotería (Mexican Bingo) hosted by comedian and chef Eduardo Perez
