Get ready for a delicious day in Downtown Kitchener as 15+ food trucks roll into the East end for a celebration of food, community and fun. 

More than a festival, this is a gathering place where friends, families, neighbours and visitors come together to enjoy incredible eats, live entertainment, games and the vibrant spirit of downtown.

  • Time: 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
  • Location: King Street East from Eby Street to Cedar Street, and the Kitchener Market piazza 
  • Cost: Free admission

Over 15 food trucks and local food vendors will be serving up sweet treats, savoury favourites and unique culinary creations.

Transit

King StrEATery is easy to get to by transit! The Kitchener Market ION light rail station is located one block from King StrEATery. Grand River Transit also has many bus stops within walking distance:

  • ION light rail: Kitchener Market Station – towards Conestoga or Fairway
  • Route 1: Cedar / Kitchener Market – towards Fairway or the Boardwalk
  • Route 3: Kitchener Market Station – towards Frederick or Sunrise Centre
  • Route 4: Frederick Station – towards Frederick or the Boardwalk
  • Route 7: King / Kitchener Market – towards Conestoga or Fairway
  • iXpress 204: Frederick Station – towards Ottawa / Lackner or the Boardwalk

Bike parking  

There are bike racks located on the Kitchener Market piazza in the heart of King StrEATery, along with more along King Street East, Eby Street and Cedar Street.

Free and secure bike parking is also available at the nearby Charles and Benton parking garage. Register online to get 24/7 access. 

Vehicle parking

The Kitchener Market sits on top of a convenient, safe and accessible parking garage just steps away from the festivities. Parking is free on Sundays!

  • Market Square – access from Scott St. 
  • KW Racquet Club – access from Duke St.
